PhD student or post-doctoral positions available to work in experimental and/or computational biology in the context of the SystemsX.ch project CycliX.
Funded by the Swiss Initiative for Systems Biology (SystemsX.ch), the CycliX project started in January 2010. CycliX aims at studying the transcription programs at the intersection of three fundamental biological cycles, the circadian cycle, the cell division cycle, and the nutrition cycle, with the final aim of identifying the core regulatory networks that ensure proper integration and coordination among the three cycling systems. It is a team project bringing together several groups with expertise in computational biology and biology of gene expression both in cell culture systems and in the mouse, from three different institutions of the Lemanic region, the Universities of Lausanne and Geneva and the "Ecole polytechnique fédérale" of Lausanne.
The following participating teams have open positions:
- Jacques Rougemont and Winship Herr: computational biologist to begin as postdoctoral fellow during the course of 2011. Contact: winship.herr@unil.ch and jacques.rougemont@epfl.ch
- Felix Naef: postdoctoral fellow to work as a computational or experimental biologist starting in 2012. Contact: felix.naef@epfl.ch
Interested candidates should send a letter, a CV with publication list, and the name of three references directly to the contacts indicated above.
